- Slice each biscuit in half lengthwise. Wrap a biscuit half around each apple slice, stretching the dough slightly to overlap and seal the edges.
- Arrange the wrapped apple slices in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour the hot sugar mixture over the apple dumplings.
- For the topping, mix the cinnamon with the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the dumplings.
- Bake in the oven for 35 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
